Ormsby Guitars, a pioneer in multiscale electric guitars, announces the addition of legendary metal guitarist Dino Cazares to its family of artists.

You know Dino from Fear Factory, Asesino, Divine Heresy and Brujeria, and from possessing one of the fastest and most precise picking hands in metal history. Dino requires a guitar that can keep up with his ferocious picking without losing his distinctive clarity and wallop.

The Dino Cazares Obsolete Limited Edition is now ready for pre-order in Ormsby’s GTR Series.

“I’m a longtime fan of Dino,” luthier Perry Ormsby says. “We hit it off as friends a few NAMMs ago and we’ve kept in touch. Eventually we realised we were really on the same page in terms of the evolution of guitar design and technology.”​

Dino has multiple Ormsby guitars, including the iconic Aztec laser etched design created for NAMM, and the Blood Camo signature model here. We’ve teamed up with Dino again, to bring you the Special Edition: Obsolete Multiscale 7 String.

This time, we’ve added a Maple Fretboard, with the previous Signature Models having Ebony. This results in a nice, bright yet heavy tone, with the 7 string multi-scale making this the perfect guitar for intricate riffs without losing any low end making this a great guitar for metal.

Each DC Obsolete guitar comes in Multiscale only (no baritones this time) and just right handed (sorry lefties, but we could only produce limited stock!) and 7 string, being Dino’s preference.

Some special features of this limited edition guitar bundle, is a forward strap pin located on flush mount dowel. A hardcase is included, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Dino Cazares. These are strictly limited to 22 instruments (plus just one for Dino, and one for our own workshop display) and all orders of this guitar will include a unique Obsolete t-shirt, designed by Dino (not available separately). Only 4 are coming to Europe, and of those ours is the only one destined for the UK!
